Stuck In Park!

His trusty Land Rover Range Rover Sport sat patiently in the garage.

As the first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains, Jake stirred in his cozy bed. It was a new day, and he had a list of tasks and responsibilities awaiting him. With a determined resolve, he swung his legs out of bed and began the ritual of getting ready for the day.

The morning routine unfolded seamlessly – a hot shower to shake off the remnants of sleep, a quick shave, and a hearty breakfast that promised to fuel him for the challenges ahead. Dressed in a crisp shirt and polished shoes, Jake headed to the garage, ready to conquer the world.

His trusty Land Rover Range Rover Sport sat patiently in the garage. With a click, the car unlocked, and Jake settled into the driver’s seat. He confidently pushed the ignition button, turned it, and the engine purred to life.

The day seemed full of promise as Jake tried to put his car in gear. However, nothing happened. When he attempted to shift the gear into drive, the lever did nothing, the trigger had no resistance, and Jake knew something was wrong.

Jake called us and the car was towed to our shop where we quickly diagnosed the issue, and got him back on the road.

This Land Rover Range Rover Sport was stuck in park and the customer had no idea what to do.  The customer had the car towed in and we were able to diagnose the problem and I’m going to show you the part that actually kept this car from coming out of park.

The little trigger that’s on the front of the shift lever and you can see how it just kind of is like really loose it doesn’t have that nice little detent click anymore it’s just flopping around.  Now we have this shifter fully rebuilt all the new vinyl stickers are on the new P for Park button is in, the trigger is now engaged and it feels nice so let’s see if this car comes out of park.  It come out of park, it’s in drive, it’s in Reverse, it’s in park and this car is fixed and ready for the road.
